Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation responded nationwide
(VOVworld) – The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on Friday held a seminar in Hanoi marking 65 years of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation. Participants highlighted the importance of this movement in the performance of Trade Unions nationwide. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said: “Emulations and rewards are a source of spiritual encouragement for laborers to raise the level of creativity in their work, contributing to national development and the course of modernization and industrialization.”
The Voice of Vietnam also held a ceremony to mark the event in Hanoi on the same day. Deputy General Director Vu Hai said VOV has been carrying out the emulation movement by renovating and improving program quality to better disseminate party guidelines and state policies. Hai said: “We have rallied all employees including technicians, reporters and artists in the emulation movement. We have actively participated in the movement to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example and patriotic emulation movements to turn VOV into a leading multimedia organization in Vietnam.”

To mark the occasion, VOV announced President Truong Tan Sang’s decision to confer the Independence Order, first class, on Phan Quang, former President of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association and former General Director of the Voice of Vietnam.
