(VOVworld) – The Hoa Hao Buddhist Church protests China’s blatant violation of Vietnam’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and continental shelf by deploying oil rig Haiyang-981 and escort ships there.

This was the message the 4th Hoa Hao congress sent to Hoa Hao Buddhist dignitaries and followers at home and abroad on Thursday. The message demanded that China respect Vietnam’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by immediately withdrawing oil rig Haiyang-981 and all escort ships from Vietnam’s waters.
Hoa Hao Buddhist followers are unanimous in supporting the Vietnamese government’s pursuit of diplomatic measures to defend Vietnam’s sovereignty.
