(VOVworld)- Hoi An’s first International Food Festival “Taste the World” opened at the An Hoi sculpture garden on Monday, featuring 12 chefs from 12 countries.

During the week-long event, the chefs will demonstrate their cooking skills at 12 local restaurants. The participating restaurants will be decorated and themed to the country of the visiting chef, who will prepare traditional dishes from his country. The festival is a new tourism product of Hoi An for 2016. Nguyen Van Son is Vice Chair of the Hoi An Municipal People’s Committee: “The festival will make Hoi An cuisine better known to visitors. The festival also creates an opportunity for local restaurants to improve their skills and learn new dishes to enrich their menus”.
