(VOVworld) – The Ming Pao newspaper of HongKong, China , has run an article analysing the advantages and disadvantages to Vietnam of joining the TPP. The article says that over the next 10 years Vietnam’s GDP will increase 36 billion USD and more investors will shift their factories to Vietnam, creating a 28% increase in Vietnam’s exports. The article predicts that tariff reductions will benefit Vietnam’s garment and textile and fisheries sectors. However, Vietnamese agricultural and bio-medical products will face fierce competition from imported products.
