(VOVworld) - Houthi rebels in Yemen accepted on Sunday a five-day ceasefire initiated by Saudi Arabia but warned that they would respond to any violations of the truce.

Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs for the United Arab Emirates, welcomed the Houthis' decision and said he hopes it will lead to political talks. Saudi Arabia proposed a 5-day humanitarian truce in Yemen last Thursday to facilitate humanitarian relief for Yemeni people in need.
