The month-long festival will include a design competition for traditional handicraft products, a sculpture camp, a festival dedicated to “Ao dai” (Vietnam’s traditional long dress), a brass band festival, a concert, a book fair, a sculpture exhibition, a concert in honor of songwriter Trinh Cong Son, the Hue culinary festival, a boat race on the Huong River, and folk music performances.
Pham Thi Quynh Dao, Head of Hue City's Information and Culture Section, said, “Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2021 is expected to attract tourists to Hue city after a dreary tourism year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Local craftsmen will have an opportunity to learn from peers from all over Vietnam and from abroad.”
