The Vietnam Red Cross Society is mobilizing, networking, building and repairing 63 kitchens at disadvantaged preschools and primary schools as well as 115 houses for poor and difficult fishermen.

Other activities include supporting livelihoods for poor fishermen, fundraising for Red Cross activities, and humanitarian projects in every province and city.

Bui Thi Hoa, President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, said a movement called "Good People, Good Deeds - Working together to build a compassionate community" has been launched to spread kindness and contribute to building a cultural lifestyle and upholding humanitarian values in the community.

“The Vietnam Red Cross Society, with its humanitarian mission, continues to transmit messages so that each person in society by doing even small things to help people in need will create resonance in the society, showing mutual affection and sharing. We hope that those quiet people and those silent deeds in all regions of the country will be discovered and nurtured,” Hoa said. 

After five years of organizing Humanitarian Month, the Red Cross Society at all levels have mobilized more than 85 million USD to help more than 4.3 million poor and disadvantaged people.
