In Tuyen Quang province, 350 members of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union and other young people donated some 200 units of blood during Voluntary Blood Donation Day on Thursday.
A similar event in Hoa Binh province attracted 700 officials, soldiers, and Youth Union members. They donated 408 blood units to the provincial blood bank to help poor patients in urgent need of blood transfusion.
The same day, Da Nang’s Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation honored 132 groups, families, and individuals for their outstanding contribution to blood donation activities from 2011 to 2015.
