Hundreds of IS militants killed in airstrikes in western Iraq
(VOVWORLD) -Iraqi aircraft conducted dozens of airstrikes last week against more than IS militants in western Iraq, leaving many posts destroyed and killing more than 300 militants.

The Iraqi military said on Sunday that jet fighters carried out 42 airstrikes between Monday and Friday against IS headquarters and hideouts in Anbar province.
Earlier, Iraqi security forces dislodged IS militants from key cities in Anbar province but areas near the Syrian border are still under IS control.
