During a visit to the Zaporizhzhia plant, Grossi said IAEA staff will remain at the plant. He said it's unrealistic for Russia and Ukraine to sign a document ensuring the security of the plant in the context of the ongoing conflict.

Grossi's visit follows the collapse of the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam, the source of cooling water for the Zaporizhzhia plant. Grossi said the situation at Zaporizhzhia is very serious, but the coolant level is still sufficient.

Earlier, Mr. Grossi visited the Ukrainian capital, met with President Volodymyr Zelensky, and discussed security risks at the Zaporizhzhia plant. He plans to visit Russia soon.
