IMF warns that global economy won’t fully recover in 2021
(VOVWORLD) - IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva on Monday warned that the global economy will need a long time to recover fully from the shock caused by Covid-19.

The IMF is likely to revise downward its forecast for 2020, with only a partial recovery expected next year instead of the 5.8% rebound initially expected, she added.
Last month, the IMF forecast that business closures and lockdowns to slow the spread of Covid-19 would throw the world into its deepest recession since the Great Depression of the 1930s. Georgieva said data reported since then only points to more bad news.
