(VOVworld) – The Ho Chi Minh Youth Union on Sunday held a conference for young scientists themed “Impacts of the ASEAN Economic Community on students and young workers in Ho Chi Minh City”.

The conference presented 79 speeches by young scientists from different localities, focusing on opportunities and challenges facing Ho Chi Minh City’s students and workers when the ASEAN Economic Community is officially established, ways to enhance skills, and resources for young workers in the city. The challenge of finding high quality workers to meet market demand in the integration period was high on the agenda. Conference attendees said young workers should improve their language abilities and soft skills and that agencies should help students choose suitable careers.
