(VOVworld) - Spare parts imported for production and assembly of medical equipment and devices will be exempted from import duties for five years.

The medical spare parts must be ones which Vietnam is unable to produce. They should be for equipment used in diagnosis, treatment, sterilization, waste water treatment, and rehabilitation.

The exemption takes effect on November 15, 2014, following a recent Prime Minister decision.
