(VOVworld) – The Northwest Steering Committee held a conference on Tuesday to discuss measures to ensure security and social order in 2015 in a number of northern midland and mountain regions. Delegates agreed that significant results have been recorded in ensuring political and social security thanks to local authorities and people’s determination and consensus to prevent the sabotaging activities of hostile and reactionary forces, and pushing back drug and human trafficking activities, as well as illegal migration. They stressed the need to strengthen state management regarding activities to defend local political security and social order to detect and deal with criminals and to avoid activities that could adversely affect national unity. They asked the local authorities to pay more attention to ethnic people’s physical and spiritual demands, as well as local implementation of the national new rural development program.
