(VOVworld) – The final round of a contest themed “Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty” took place in Ho Chi Minh city on Sunday.

A team from the University of People’s Security received first prize for its entry “The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea”. Phan Duy Tu, a member of the winning team, said:The contest helped me understand the importance of Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty and mineral resources and other issues related to economic and social development strategies and national security. I was able to share my knowledge with my teammates and friends.

The finalists were 6 outstanding teams from 41 universities, colleges, and professional schools in Ho Chi Minh city.
