(VOVworld)- The Vietnamese delegation to the UN, the WTO and other international organizations in Geneva on Friday held an incense offering ceremony to honor the Hung King’s Death Anniversary. In his address, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Trung Thanh said UNESCO’s recognition of Hung Kings worship ritual as an intangible cultural heritage contributed to promoting Vietnam’s unique cultural identity to the world. The Hung King’s Death Anniversary demonstrates Vietnam’s tradition of showing gratitude to the founders of the nation. Ambassador Thanh said that the incense offering ceremony showed the gratitude and love that Vietnamese people including some millions overseas Vietnamese have for the homeland.
