India, Pakistan blame each other for ceasefire violation
(VOVworld) - India and Pakistan have accused each other of unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir.
Indian defense ministry spokesman Colonel Manish Mehta said that the Pakistan Army used small arms to fire at Indian positions in Balnoi sector in Poonch district. He said that the firing started at 2:20pm local time and is still going on. There were no new casualties on the Indian side.
The same day, Pakistan's top security adviser Sartaj Aziz urged India to cease fire immediately along the disputed border. Clashes between the two troops have killed 10 civilians and wounded more than 40. Pakistan registered a protest with the UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan.
