(VOVworld) - An Indian Buddhist Festival got underway at HCM City’s Pho Quang Pagoda on Friday to introduce Indian Buddhism and promote cultural exchange between the two peoples.
The four-day event is the result of a joint effort by the Ministry of Culture of India, the Embassy of India, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the People’s Committee of HCM City.
The festival features a series of activities such as Lama chanting, sacred Lama dance, a sand mandala, and butter sculpture. The event provides an excellent opportunity for Vietnamese citizens to develop a better understanding of the traditional culture of India, contributing to strengthening mutual understanding, tightening friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
