(VOVWORLD) -The Indonesian government is committed to deploying maximum security measures to ensure the safety and success of the 2-day G20 Summit in Bali, starting next Tuesday.

President Joko Widodo said that to date, 17 heads of state and government had confirmed their attendance at the summit.
The Indonesian Military plans to send more than 14,000 personnel. There will be a deployment of military crafts in the waters and airspace around Bali.
The Indonesian Police will deploy a security operation in three areas - Bali, East Java, and West Nusa Tenggara - involving 9,700 policemen.
