(VOVworld) - Vietnam and Indonesia need to enhance economic-trade and investment ties and speed up the implementation of an action plan on realising their strategic partnership in 2014-2018.

Indonesia’s Vice President Jusuff Kalla and newly accredited Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Hoang Anh Tuan reached the consensus during their meeting in Jakarta on Monday.

Jusuff Kalla expressed his wish that the Ambassador will become a bridge to link the two countries’ trade, cultures, accelerating the bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Tuan insisted Vietnam’s determination to continuously tighten its relations with Indonesia adding that the two countries will see great cooperation opportunities in 2016 as the formation of the ASEAN Community marks a comprehensive regional integration.
