Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai pointed out the three solutions: “First, to ensure the balance of supply and demand of essential goods for production and life, sustain production and business activities, sustain the supply chain of goods, remove difficulties facing distributors and the goods circulation process. Second, support enterprises, cooperatives and business households to participate in online trade promotion programs and connect supply and demand, fairs and exhibitions in the digital environment. Third, continue to facilitate localities to boost domestic consumption of agricultural products and expand exports to potential markets.”

Deputy Minister Hai said the Ministry of Industry and Trade has assessed the potential consumption of nine key agricultural, forestry and aquatic products for exports to 14 major markets, in which, special attention is paid to markets that are partners of Vietnam in FTAs. Results of the Ministry’s assessment will serve as guidelines for businesses to re-organize their operations and take advantage of new export opportunities.
