He made the remark at a national online conference to launch an information app to connect medicine suppliers, held in Hung Yen province on Friday. Mr. Dam said Vietnam sees the highest rate of antibiotic resistance, and there have not been any effective measures to trace the origins, expiry date, and usage of medicine imported to Vietnam. "The establishment of a network connecting medicine suppliers and retail stores is expected to eliminate illicit activities in the medical supply trading industry. Connecting to such a network reflects medical suppliers and stores’ responsibilities and obligations to society and citizens, for the sake of people’s health. I highly praise stores that have connected to the network, and encourage others to follow suit in the interests of the people and Vietnam’s health sector.", said Mr. Dam.
