(VOVworld) – On Tuesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs held a conference to deploy the law on the organization of local governments and give instructions on preparations for the upcoming National Assembly and People’s Council elections in 25 northern provinces. Nguyen Phuong Thuy, deputy head of the National Electoral Council Department, said: “The outcome of the second consultative meeting on the number of candidates for National Assembly and People’s Council elections has met the necessary requirement. This time the number of candidates is higher than in the election for the 13^th tenure.”
