International arrivals to Vietnam in November rise 42%
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam welcomed more than 15,000 foreign visitors in November, up 42% against the previous month, according to the General Statistics Office.
The surge is due to the Government’s pilot program that reopens foreign tourism in 5 localities, namely Kien Giang, Quang Ninh, Khanh Hoa, Da Nang, and Quang Nam.
General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh said the return of foreign tourists after a 2-year hiatus marks a significant step in reviving the tourism industry.
