(VOVWORLD) - International arrivals to Vietnam in the first half of this year totaled 5.5 million, which is 69% of the target for 2023, said Vietnam's National Administration of Tourism on Wednesday.

June saw more than 975,000 arrivals, a 6.4% increase from May. Most tourists were from the Republic of Korea (RoK), China, Taiwan (China), the US, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, and Australia.
Search volume for Vietnam's tourism has grown since the beginning of 2023, climbing from 11th to 6th place in the world's ranking, according to Google's market trend tracking tool.
Markets most interested in Vietnam's tourism include the US, Japan, Australia, India, RoK, Singapore, the UK, Malaysia, Germany, and France, all of which are primary markets for Vietnam.
