International Committee of the Red Cross pledges to help North Korea
(VOVWORLD) - The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) remains committed to humanitarian assistance for North Korea and ready to resume suspended projects there as soon as the coronavirus situation improves, said the head of the ICRC office in Seoul.

In an interview with Yonhap News Agency, David Maizlish noted North Korea's recent willingness to cooperate with the ICRC and other global humanitarian organizations despite its prolonged border closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
North Korea claims to be coronavirus-free but taking stringent measures, including a border closure since early last year.
