Komotsky said the foreign policy of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee has been flexible in pursuing international integration, territorial sovereignty, and regional stability. He said he believes the CPV will achieve the goals set out by the Party Central Committee in the documents it submitted to the 13th Congress.

Dr. Alexander Korolev of the Higher School of Economics in Moscow told VOV that Vietnam’s success against the COVID-19 pandemic and its GDP growth of 2.9% in 2020 were very impressive. One of the contributing factors in its achievements was responsible multilateral diplomatic policies, he said, adding that Vietnam has always been willing to join international organizations and economic initiatives. Vietnam has resources to strongly develop, and is an attractive market for investors, he said.

Egypt's leading online newspaper Al-Ahram on Monday ran a story by reporter Kamal Gaballa with the headline: “Vietnam will become a prosperous democratic country by 2045.” Gaballa said that thanks to its past achievements, Vietnam will become a modern economy with above average incomes by 2030. He quoted Party leader and President Nguyen Phu Trong, who said that the 13th National Party Congress will be a new milestone and a turning-point in Vietnam’s renewal, integration, and development.

In a recent interview with a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Thailand, Professor Chuan Petkaew of Suratthani Rajabhat University said political stability has been an advantage not all countries have throughout Vietnam’s development. Vietnam’s achievements have validated the leadership of the Vietnamese Party and State, he said.

Amiad Horowitz, a reporter for the People’s World and a member of the American Communist Party said his party will support the plans adopted at Vietnam’s 13th National Congress. He said the CPV has played a crucial role in Vietnam’s successes in all fields. Under its leadership, Vietnam has advanced from being an underdeveloped country to being a diplomatic and economic centre.
