International community praises inter-Korea progress
(VOVWORLD) - UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday applauded North and South Korea for de-escalating tensions and praised North Korea’s desire to send athletes to the Winter Olympics PyoengChang in February.

The US State Department welcomed Tuesday’s meeting between North and South Korean officials aimed at ensuring a safe Winter Olympics.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said she hopes future talks between the two countries will promote denuclearization.
