(VOVworld) – An international conference titled “Economic reforms for inclusive and sustainable growth: international experience and lessons for Vietnam” has opened in Hanoi.

Economic reform for inclusive and sustainable growth

Themed “Economic reforms: Challenges for inclusive growth”, the conference includes 3 major sessions. The first session focuses on the important role of inclusive growth and the links between economic growth, inequality, and economic mechanism. Under the theme of “Economic Reforms for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth”, the second session will discuss the implementation of Vietnam’s reform priorities, international experience in balancing short-term macro economy stabilization, and medium and long-term structural and mechanism reforms. At the last session themed “Exploiting the potentials of international integration for inclusive and sustainable growth”, participants will propose policies regarding the international integration process of Vietnam and other countries, including the participation of free trade agreements such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement. The event is co-organized by Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS).
