(VOVworld)- The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Japan International Cooperation Agency jointly organized a workshop on climate change impact on Vietnamese policies in Hanoi on Wednesday. The participants shared their experiences and assessed what the impact of the program to support Vietnam’s climate change response could have on energy savings, renewable energy, agriculture, forestry, waste management, transportation, water management, health care and education. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, since 2009, the program has spent more than 1 billion USD helping ministries and sectors to develop and revise legal documents to integrate them with climate change response. JICA and other international donors praised Vietnam’s role and pledged continued financial and technical assistance to help Vietnam respond to climate change more effectively.
