Xinhua News Agency, Global Times, an English-language Chinese newspaper under the People's Daily of the Communist Party of China, and China Daily reported on the talks and the prospects of cooperation between the two countries following the visit.

Highlighting the high-level talks in Hanoi on Tuesday between the two Party leaders, China Central Television quoted Xi as saying that returning to Hanoi after six years he felt the deep friendship of the Party, Government, and people of Vietnam.

In the news coverage by Xinhua and the People’s Daily, Xi expressed his belief that, with the joint efforts of both sides, ties between Beijing and Hanoi will enter a new stage, characterized by greater mutual trust, more concrete security cooperation, deeper win-win cooperation, more solid popular foundations, closer multilateral coordination, and better management of differences.

The socialist construction of China and Vietnam, Xi said, will move steadily forward, making new contributions to the stability, development, and prosperity of the region and the world.

Japan's economic newspaper Nikkei Asia noted the results achieved during Chinese President Xi’s trip. The two leaders agreed that their countries will build a "shared future community" and strengthen bilateral relations. Japan's Kyodo news agency reported that after their meeting, the two leaders reviewed 36 signed cooperation agreements in various fields.

They issued a joint statement on continuing to deepen and elevate their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and building a Vietnam-China community for a shared future of strategic importance. The two sides also agreed to resolve disagreements through peaceful means.
