International seminar seeks ways to settle East Sea disputes
(VOVWORLD) - A seminar in Moscow on Monday urged China to immediately halt reclamation activities and militarization of artificial islands in the East Sea.

Participants at the 3rd international seminar on the East Sea stressed the need for involved parties to sign and fully implement a code of conduct in the East Sea and seek solutions to the disputes in the area through bilateral and multilateral negotiations.
They analyzed the East Sea situation one year after the Hague-based arbitration panel rejected China's claims and suggested diplomatic and peaceful solutions in accordance with international law.
Also high on the agenda were military and political approaches to the East Sea issue, the new US administration, militarization of the East Sea, and ASEAN-China relations in regards to East Sea disputes.
