Int’l media hail Vietnam’s performance in 2019 Asian Cup quarterfinals
(VOVWORLD) - Although Vietnam’s journey at the ongoing 2019 Asian Cup has ended following a 0-1 defeat to Japan on Thursday, the national team earned praises from international media.

Japan’s sport daily Sanspo said Japan faced tough opponents with solid defense. Football website Fox Sports Asia wrote that despite being underdogs for the match, Vietnam’s players had shown remarkable determination in driving the ball forwards. Editor Gabriel Tan wrote he believes the future looks exceedingly bright for Vietnam.
