The Standing Committee requested a review to ensure project investment is consistent with planning, targets, and land use plans, calculate preliminary investment and design to ensure savings, efficiency, compliance with legal regulations, and avoid impact on the environment and ecosystem.
It called for careful evaluation of the factors affecting implementation progress so that the project will be completed by 2026.
Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue said, "The expressway area strategically connects the Central Highlands to the East. If Chon Thanh is connected with Ho Chi Minh City, it will create conditions for the entire Central Highlands region to move to the East. Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong can also be linked with Gia Nghia in Dak Nong province and with the Central Highlands region in general."
On Wednesday morning, in his remark on the revised draft Law on Cultural Heritage, National Assembly Chairman Hue emphasized that cultural heritage should be considered a resource for development and need to be preserved and promoted.
