(VOVWORLD) - Iranian news agencies on Tuesday reported that indirect negotiations between Iran and the US to salvage the 2015 nuclear agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), will resume on Thursday.

Iran will negotiate with teams from the UK, China, France, Germany and Russia, while the US participates indirectly.
France said the proposals made by Iran last week to restore the JCPOA do not constitute a reasonable basis compatible with the goal of a rapid conclusion that respects the interests of all. The statement expressed “disappointment” that the talks have failed to move forwards.
