(VOVWORLD) - Iran is committed to resolving its nuclear dispute with world powers through diplomacy, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said Monday, adding that Iran always seeks a return of all parties to full compliance of the 2015 nuclear deal.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said that Iran has received guarantees from the US regarding the return of 6 billion USD under the agreement between Tehran and Washington on the exchange of prisoners, stressing that this process will be conducted by agreement between the parties.
In 2015, Iran and the P5+1 group (which consists of the US, the UK, France, China, and Russia - the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, plus Germany) reached an agreement called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). This agreement entailed Iran agreeing to limit its nuclear activities in exchange for the lifting of sanctions.
However, in 2018, US President Donald Trump withdrew from the agreement.
