Iran may revert to nuclear policies if talks fail

(VOVworld) - Iran may revert to its nuclear policies prior to the temporary deal agreed with the P5+1 group last November, if nuclear talks fail to reach "proper results". Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told a press conference in Tehran on Sunday that "if the other party comes to the negotiations with serious will, it is very likely that the talks will bear results". He added that it was too early to say whether the nuclear talks had been successful or failed because negotiators still have several steps to take before the final deal is clinched on July 20 as scheduled.

Under the temporary Geneva deal, Iran committed to halting some of its controversial nuclear activities for 6 months in exchange for the easing of western sanctions. The next round of talks will take place on July 2 in Vienna.
