Iran not to give up JCPOA
(VOVWORLD) - Iran will remain committed to the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal if other signatories still participate in the agreement even after the US withdrew its support in May. In case the deal cannot secure Tehran’s economic interests, it will consider another plan.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made the statement at a meeting with his Italian counterpart Enzo Moavero Milanesi in Rome on Thursday.
Mr. Zarif insisted that Iran will keep abiding by the agreement’s clauses and European countries should continue to support and cooperate with Iran.
He said one of the nuclear deal’s targets is to normalize Iran’s economic and trade relations with international partners.
Tehran is considering a series of measures to boost cooperation with the EU and the bilateral ties between Iran and other nations. But Foreign Minister Zarif didn’t mention specific details.
The Italian foreign minister said the JCPOA contributes to world peace and security, adding that Italy, along with other EU states, will make every effort to save the Iranian nuclear deal.
