(VOVWORLD) - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expressed optimism on Thursday regarding the ongoing negotiations to revive the 2015 nuclear deal and remove Western sanctions.

Amir-Abdollahian told a meeting of Iranian diplomats that "good" progress has been made toward concluding the talks.
He said there has been an indirect exchange of messages between Iran and other parties involved in the deal, and foreign ministers from certain countries are working to pave the way for a successful conclusion.
Amir-Abdollahian stressed Iran's focus on neutralizing sanctions while keeping up diplomatic efforts.
Talks to revive the JCPOA began in April 2021 in Vienna, but no breakthrough has been achieved.
