Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad left Tehran for Niger on Sunday. During a 3-day visit to Africa, Ahmadinejad will visit Niger, Ghana, and Benin, where he will hold talks with his counterparts and sign economic and political memorandums of understanding. This will be the last Africa visit in his term of office but he insisted that, for Iran, widening relations with African countries is a “principal policy”.
