This is part of a campaign to retake Ramadi which fell to IS last May. The campaign was launched with 2,000 soldiers supported by a US-led coalition. The security forces, allied paramilitary groups known as Hashd Shaabi, and Sunni tribal fighters advanced toward Ramadi from several directions. According to Iraqi officials, if the campaign continues its success, Ramadi will probably be liberated by the end of this month.
