(VOVworld) - A bomb fell from an Iraqi Sukhoi warplane and exploded in eastern Baghdad on Monday, killing at least seven people and wounding 11 others, according to security and medical officials.

Security spokesman Brigadier General Saad Maan said a bomb jammed because of a technical problem and, during the return to base, it fell on three houses in Baghdad’s Jadida district, near the Rasheed air base. 

Iraq received several Sukhoi Su-25 jets from Russia and Iran last year to bolster its fledgling air force to combat the Islamic State, which had overran large parts of Iraq.
