(VOVworld)- Iraqi military forces killed some 300 Takfiri militants in a series of attacks across the country targeting Islamic insurgent fighters. Fierce clashes are occurring in northern regions between government forces and Takfiri militants from a group called the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Government forces have retaken control of the city of Muqdadiyah in Diyala Province northeast of Baghdad.
