Four gunmen attacked the Bethel Memorial Methodist Church where more than 500 worshippers – most of them women and children had gathered for a pre-Christmas service. Police guards stationed at the church killed one of the bombers, but the second attacker detonated his suicide vest outside the prayer hall just after services began.
