According to RBSS, the attempted desertions in Raqqa stemmed from a dispute between 75 Dutch militants, some of Moroccan origin, and IS gunmen from Iraq. IS leaders in Raqqa had sent an intermediary to resolve the conflict, but the intermediary was killed by Dutch fighters. In response, IS leaders in Iraq ordered the arrest of all the members of the Dutch cell, who are now being detained in Tabaqa and Maadan in Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that IS killed 3 European fighters of North African origin.
