(VOVworld)- A car bomb has exploded outside the US Consulate in the northern Iraqi city of Irbil, killing at least one person and wounding five others, but no US citizen was on the list of injuries.

A suicide bomber was shot dead after detonating a bomb near the American consulate building. The "Islamic State" terror group claimed responsibility for the attack.
