(VOVworld) – IS has released a video showing the killing of 25 Syrian soldiers in an ancient theater in Palmyra town in central Syria. The execution occurred after IS took control of Palmyra on May 21. The video showed the soldiers wearing green and brown uniforms lined on their knees.

Behind them are child executioners, many of whom appear to be no older than 12 or 13 years old. An enormous IS flag draped across the back of the stage. The execution took place in front of a big audience including women and children. The Syrian Observation of Human Rights said the execution was on May 27, less than a week after IS took Palmyra.
The group was accused of executing around 200 people in and around Palmyra since it swept into the city in May.
