Israel announces more than 1,300 new homes in West Bank settlements
(VOVWORLD) - Israel on Sunday announced plans to build over 1,300 more homes in the West Bank.

The new houses add to the more than 2,000 residences defence sources said in August would be authorized for settlers in the West Bank. Final approval for those homes is expected from the defence ministry this week.
The newly announced homes will be constructed in seven settlements, according to a statement from the Ministry of Construction and Housing.
The settlements are located in the West Bank, a territory Israel seized in the 1967 Middle East war and has controlled ever since. More than 2,000 Palestinians live on these lands.
