(VOVworld) – Israel officials said on Thursday that the police have arrested 46 Palestinians in raids in the West Bank and East Jerusalem over the past two days.

The Israel Police and Israel Defense Forces conducted the raids following increased attacks on Israeli security forces by Palestinians over the past week. In two nights, police picked up 23 people in East Jerusalem and in the Shuafat refugee camp on charges ranging from taking part in a riot to throwing rocks at citizens and security forces. In the West Bank, Israeli soldiers arrested 23 more Palestinians.
