(VOVWORLD) - An Israeli missile targeted a military position in Syria's southern province of Quneitra on Monday, killing a soldier and destroying a military vehicle, state news agency SANA reported.
The Israeli army the same day claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was responding to anti-aircraft fire against one of its combat planes. Israel has repeatedly targeted Syrian sites, most of which are held by Iran-backed militias and Lebanon's Hezbollah.
